ILLUSIA - Værk 01
An illusory outdoor video projection,
Premiered in Ishøj, November 2026
ILLUSIA – Work 01 is a site-specific video installation that transforms architecture into a living, sensory space. As darkness falls, the façade comes alive through video mapping, film, and animation, making the building appear to open up and reveal a hidden layer behind the wall.
The audience encounters four characters who share the same space yet inhabit their own separate worlds. Absorbed in their tablets, they are physically together but mentally apart. Gradually, one character breaks free from this screen-bound state and attempts to connect with the others. The work thus explores presence, attention, and human connection in the digital age.
The human body is the work’s central medium. Through choreographed movement and a precisely composed sound design, a non-verbal, universal expression emerges in which body, sound, and architecture merge.
Presented as a seven-minute film shot in a single continuous take and played on a loop, ILLUSIA – Work 01 invites passersby to pause and experience the urban space anew—a temporary space where light, movement, and architecture converge in a shared moment of presence..
